LAETA R&D Funding

- To increase the number of research and innovation projects stemming from highly competitive international calls funded by both public and private sectors;
- To reinforce LAETA role as the national key player in supporting industrial innovation, and one of the international key players, performing activities at all stages of the value-chain, from scientific research to pilot demonstration;
- To address the main societal challenges related to LAETA scientific knowledge;
- To increase the critical mass of highly qualified human resources by setting the stage for the creation of scientific jobs in Portugal, ensuring appropriate conditions for the professional development of young researchers.

- Increased number of scientific publications in international journals;

- Higher number of scientific events organized by LAETA researchers;

- New collaboration with players of the R&I ecosystems related to LAETA core competencies, namely by participating in R&D projects from competitive EU funding calls;
- Creation of new scientific job positions in Portugal.
