Researcher Albertino Arteiro receives Young Researcher Prof. João Martins Award

LAETA researcher Albertino Arteiro was awarded the Young Researcher Prof. João Martins award on September 14^th, in a ceremony in Las Palmas, Spain, during the Congress on Numerical Methods in Engineering.

The Young Researcher Prof. João Martins in Applied and Computational Mechanics is awarded annually by the Portuguese Association of Theoretical, Applied and Computational Mechanics (APMTAC). The award aims to distinguish the best researchers under the age of 40, with rich scientific curriculums in the field of Applied and Computational Mechanics.

Albertino Arteiro’s research interests include material modelling at different length-scales, design and analysis of composite systems based on new concepts, and composites manufacturing. He was appointed Assistant Professor at the Materials and Technological Processes Group of the Department of Mechanical Engineering (DEMec) of the Faculty of Engineering – University of Porto in 2019, and is currently a member of the ECCOMAS Young Investigators Committee.
