EJIL 2025 – 6th Meeting of Young Researchers of LAETA

Welcome

The 6th Meeting of Young Researchers of LAETA (EJIL 2025) will be held on 27–28 October 2025 at the FEUP Campus, Porto, Portugal.

This 6th Meeting of Young Researchers of LAETA follows previous successful editions held in Lisbon (2010 and 2022), Porto (2012), Coimbra (2015), and Covilhã (2017). These meetings aim to disseminate the research developed within LAETA and to promote and encourage interdisciplinary discussions among young researchers from the four managing institutions of LAETA: INEGI, IDMEC, ADAI, and UBI-AEROG.

EJIL 2025 provides a forum for PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, and early-career scientists affiliated with LAETA to present their research, exchange ideas, and foster scientific collaboration.

This edition is organized by INEGI – Institute of Science and Innovation in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, with the support of a distinguished Scientific Committee composed of Ana Ramos (INEGI, Chair), João Magrinho (IDMEC), Ana Rita Amaral (ADAI), and Leandro Magalhães (AeroG).

Instructions and templates for authors 

  • Each oral presentation slot is allocated 12 min for the talk, followed by 3 min for Q&A.
  • All presentations will be launched from the session room laptop.
  • Please bring your presentation on a USB stick and approach the person in the room during the coffee break before your session to upload it at least 10 min before the session starts.
  • To avoid technical issues, embed all videos/audios files directly into your power point presentation. 
  • Presenters are kindly asked to be in the conference room from the beginning of their session.
  • Do not forget to acknowledge your funding sources. A standard LAETA acknowledgement is provided; feel free to include any additional acknowledgements relevant for your work.

Call for Abstracts

We encourage submission of abstracts for oral presentations. A poster session may be organized depending on the number of participants.

Registration

The registration fee for EJIL 2025 is €200. This fee covers:

  • Access to all scientific sessions and conference materials
  • All coffee breaks
  • Two lunches
  • Conference dinner: Casa da Música Restaurant
