Book on rural fire management coordinated by LAETA Researcher

Miguel Almeida, a researcher at LAETA and the Center for Forest Fire Studies at ADAI, coordinated the publication of the book "Rural Fire Risk Management in Residential Buildings". This book is the result of  the project "House Refuge - Development of Best Practices and Standards for Buildings and Their Surroundings in Forest Fire Risk Areas", funded by FCT. 

The book addresses topics such as fire risk management in the vicinity of buildings, fuel management in the building environment, self-protection systems, and regulatory issues.
