LAETA researcher Fausto Freire participated in the Plastics Summit Global Event 2022 on October 17th. Fausto Freire participated as a speaker in the panel "Ways to avoid greenwashing" with companies (Logoplaste, Decathlon, etc...), universities, associations and representatives of the European Commission.
Fausto Freire is an Associate Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Coimbra, with research and teaching focusing on developing and implementing Life-Cycle based approaches, Industrial Ecology and Circular Economy systems to enhance the sustainability of products and systems.
The Plastics Summit – Global Event 2022 presents itself as a disruptive event, bringing together the key stakeholders for a sustainable future, raising awareness on climate citizenship underpinned by Planetary Health.
