LAETA researcher receives honorable mention in the J. Norberto Pires Innovation Prize

Jade Müller Carneiro, a LAETA researcher, was awarded an honorable mention in the J. Norberto Pires Innovation Award for her project "EcoTechLCA: a tool for sustainable innovation”.

This project proposes the creation of a tool to assess the environmental sustainability of new products and emerging technologies, starting from the early development stages, such as the laboratory scale. Jade's doctoral research was focused on Prospective Life Cycle Assessment and had the supervision of Professor Fausto Freire and Carla Rodrigues.

The J. Norberto Pires Innovation Award recognizes innovative initiatives developed by members of the academic community at the University of Coimbra, in honor of Professor Joaquim Norberto Pires for his outstanding contribution to innovation.
