LAETA researcher wins the Professional Excellence in Science Award

Manuel Gameiro da Silva, LAETA researcher and director of the Association for the Development of Industrial Aerodynamics, received the Professional Excellence in Science Award from REHVA. It`s the first time that a Portuguese scientist has received this international award.

The jury chose Manuel Gameiro da Silva for his notable scientific achievements and contributions to improve energy efficiency and the interior environment of buildings.

REHVA is the Federation of European Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Engineering Associations. It is located in Brussels and represents more than 100,000 European engineers. Over the past 19 years, the Professional Excellence in Science Award has recognized 28 scientists.
