LAETA researcher wins world competition in South Korea

LAETA researcher João Mota won first place in the HVAC World Students Competition, which took place in South Korea as part of the Annual Summer Conference of SAREK, the Korean HVAC engineering society.
João Mota represented Europe in this competition after previously winning both the national and European competitions, the latter held in Istanbul.
His winning work was based on his thesis, completed as part of a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Coimbra's Faculty of Science and Technology. João Mota was also involved in the VV4MC project, which focused on the acoustic optimization of a visor with aerodynamic sealing for healthcare professionals.
